Event Planner, Blenheim Palace Hospitality

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and passionate individual to join our dynamic Hospitality team at Blenheim Palace.

Designed by the architect John Vanbrugh, Blenheim Palace is a world heritage site, home of the 11th Duke of Marlborough and birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill, Britain’s most famous 20th century Prime Minister.

 

Blenheim Palace Hospitality organises many events such as weddings, gala dinners, conferences, meetings, drinks receptions as well as activity and team building days.

 

We are now recruiting for an Event Planner reporting in to the Sales Manager. Primary responsibilities will be handling enquiries, follow up of enquiries, creating proposals, maintaining excellent customer relations with all of our clients, organise all details of the event with their client up to the day of the function.

 

This is a full time role and very much a sales focused role in the first instance followed by event organisation and management.

 

This challenging role requires previous experience as a Senior Sales Coordinator preferably in the Hotel and Catering industry background. The candidate will have a proven track record of success, account management, profit and loss systems, function sheets and a thorough knowledge of the hospitality and leisure market.

 

You’ll be a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with excellent planning, organisational skills and strong commercial acumen.

 

In addition, you will require proven people management skills, strong communication skills, be experienced in liaising with very high profile clients and have a real passion for driving the business forward.

Visitor Catering Manager Blenheim Palace

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and passionate individual to join our dynamic Hospitality team at Blenheim Palace.

 

We are now recruiting a Visitor Catering Manager for the Water Terrace Café and The Garden Café. You will occasionally be involved with concessions and running hospitality for park events.

 

This challenging role requires previous experience in a similar role and you will have a proven track record of success and a thorough knowledge of the retail catering business. Ensuring that standards of staff, product and food service are exemplary both inside and outside the Visitor Catering areas at all times and that the Visitor Catering operation is compliant with Sodexo standards.

 

You will recruit, train and motivate a team to deliver the highest standards of catering service to the visitors to Blenheim Palace. Effectively managing the P&L of the business, you will have the know how to respond to peaks and troughs of the business to maximise efficiency.

 

You will work hand in hand with the Kitchen Manager to ensure that the food product is in good supply, well presented and managed effectively.

 

The successful candidate will thrive on working in fast -paced, energetic environments whilst ensuring that high levels of service are maintained at all times. You will be workng 5 out of 7 days, as the Visitor Catering is open 7 days a week from mid February to mid December.

Assistant Visitor Catering Manager Blenheim Palace

We are also recruiting an Assistant Visitor Catering Manager for the Water Terrace Café and The Garden Café. You will occasionally be involved with concessions and running hospitality for park events.

 

This challenging role requires previous experience in a similar role - possibly someone who is at a supervisory level who is keen to take the next step. Prior food and drink retail outlet experience is essential.

 

You will provide full operational support to the Visitor Catering Manager, deputising in their absence. Helping to ensure that standards of staff, product and food service are exemplary both inside and outside the Visitor Catering areas at all times is key, as is ensuring that the Visitor Catering operation is compliant with Sodexo standards.

 

You will be an integral part or the management team, aiming to deliver the highest standards of catering service to the visitors to Blenheim Palace.

 

The successful candidate will thrive on working in fast- paced, energetic environments whilst ensuring that high levels of service are maintained at all times. The work week is 5 days out of 7, as the Visitor Catering is open 7 days a week from mid February to mid December.

Visitor Service Assistants required for weekends only.

If you enjoy working outdoors, then why not join our team of staff who are responsible for looking after our visitors whilst they are at Blenheim Palace. We are specifically looking for people to work on the event weekends assisting in the car parks, information points, litter picking and other general duties.
